BIODYNAMIC SULLA EXTRACT
Hedysarum coronarium L., known as Sulla, derives its name from the terms Hedysarum, in reference to its sweet taste and fragrance, and coronarium, from its crown-shaped inflorescence. A herbaceous plant commonly found in the Mediterranean and is widely cultivated in Italy, it adapts well to clayey and poorly structured soils thanks to its nitrogen-fixing roots, and improves the soil for other plants. Rich in water, sugars and nectar, Sulla flowers for several months, making it attractive to bees. Its sugars impart hydrating and nourishing properties, which soften hair and improve its appearance.

ORGANIC AND BIODYNAMIC ACACIA EXTRACT
Robinia pseudoacacia L., of the Fabaceae family, is named after Jean Robin, herbalist to the King of France. ‘Pseudo’ means ‘similar to’ and ‘acacia’ derives from the Greek ‘point, thorn’, in reference to thorns on branches. Native to America, it is widespread throughout Europe, and is useful for consolidating slopes and preventing landslides. Fast-growing, its nitrogen-fixing roots improve the soil in which it grows. The acacia plant can reach 25 metres in height, has grey bark, with thorns in its upper section. Its fruits are blackish pods and its inflorescences develop in clusters of fragrant, nectar-rich white flowers, which attract bees. With soothing and emollient properties, it softens hair and scalp.

VEGETABLE PROPYLENE GLYCOL
Vegetable propylene glycol is obtained from the glycerine extracted from Rapeseed (Brassica napus L.), a plant native to the temperate zones of Europe, which is rich in antioxidants, such as vitamins C and E that help protect hair and scalp against the harmful effects of free radicals. An enhanced pigment solubilizer, it performs well on hair, even at low pigment concentrations. It also delivers extreme shine and cosmetic appeal to hair, which appears plumped.

UPCYCLED ETHICAL HAZELNUT SHELLS
Corylus avellana L., native to Asia, has long been widespread throughout Italy, the world’s main producer. The name ‘Corylus’ derives from the Greek ‘helmet’, in reference to the husk that covers the hazelnut, while ‘avellana’ indicates the territory of Avellino, where the Hazelnut is very common. The tree, which grows on average to a height of 4 metres, has a thin trunk with brownish-grey bark and produces fruit with a woody shell and a sweet, oily seed. PGI Piedmont Hazelnut shells, which are discarded during shelling, are used in HNECTAR. PGI certification safeguards biodiversity and local species. The shells, which are also reused as fuel, contain anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds that soothe the scalp and protect hair, boosting shine.
